For electricians

Panel open. Still lands.

A call you can't take turns into a text the caller can answer. The job comes back with the address, what's out, and when they're home, filled in for your board. A 2 AM no-heat call with a baby in the house still reaches a person. The caller gets the text-back, then your on-call number rings and the thread is forwarded.

From $149/mo · No contracts · Nothing answers your phone

Illustrative walkthrough

KeptSolid recovers missed calls, after-hours calls, and mid-job overflow for electrical contractors running 2 to 15 trucks on Jobber or Housecall Pro. It texts the caller back within seconds, collects the problem, address, and window by text, and hands you a job card for the board. Board write-back is running in a labeled Jobber sandbox pilot. Until it's switched on for your shop, the job comes to your phone as a text with the caller's name, address, problem, and preferred window filled in, ready for the board.

  1. Tuesday, 11:10 AM

Panel open, both hands in it, meter clipped on, phone face-down on the bucket

The caller gets a text before he tries the next listing.

  2. 2:30 PM, service upgrade

Utility's late, mast is up, inspector due at 3

She texts back 'half the house is out' and it's on the board with the address.

  3. 8:05 PM, after hours

Truck in the driveway, phone on the counter, a burning smell somewhere across town

'Outlet smells hot' rings your on-call phone. 'Want an EV charger quote' waits until morning.

Both hands in the panel

You don't answer the phone with both hands in a live panel. Nobody should. But the caller with half the house dark isn't leaving a voicemail, and the one who wants a quote on a charger install is already scrolling to the next shop. Those are the two calls this catches.

Hot smell or new outlet: the reply says which

The text goes out within seconds from your shop's name and asks what's going on and where. 'Add an outlet in the garage' and 'quote a 200 amp upgrade' land on the board for a normal window. 'Breaker keeps tripping and the outlet smells hot' rings your on-call phone and forwards the thread. You choose the words that count as an emergency.

What lands on the card

The job comes back as a card with what's out, the address, and when they're home. On Jobber it goes on the board. Anywhere else it's a text on your phone, a tap from the board. No quotes by text, no promises about time, and nothing pretending to be a person.

How it works

Catch the call. Text them back. Land it on the board.

  1. 01

    Catch

A call rings out. You're on a roof, under a house, or the dispatcher is on the other line with the supply house.

  2. 02

    Text back and collect

Within seconds the caller gets a text from your shop's name, in wording you approved. They text back what's wrong, the address, and when someone's home.

  3. 03

    Land it on the board

The job shows up as a card: name, phone, address, problem, preferred window. It comes to your phone as a text, one tap from the board, and in the Jobber pilot it's written to the board with the service type you set.

Questions

Questions owners ask first

Most of our calls are quote requests. Does that fit?

Yes. A quote request lands on the board as a job card with the scope in the caller's own words and their address, so you can price it from the truck or schedule a walk-through. It never quotes for you.

What counts as an electrical emergency?

You decide the words. Most shops flag burning smell, sparks, water near the panel, and a full outage with no utility cause. Those replies ring your on-call number and forward the thread. Everything else waits for a normal window.

We do a lot of new construction. Is this for service work only?

It catches any call to the number you point at it. Most shops use it on the service line and keep the construction line as is. That split takes five minutes on the call review.

Will it text our commercial accounts?

Only callers who reach the number you connect. If you'd rather commercial accounts skip the text-back, KeptSolid can hold a list of numbers that go straight to your on-call phone instead.
