For HVAC shops
Attic job. Still lands. In the attic, 118 degrees. The no-cool call still lands.
A call you can't take turns into a text the caller can answer. The job comes back with the address, the symptom, and when they're home, filled in for your board. A 2 AM no-heat call with a baby in the house still reaches a person. The caller gets the text-back, then your on-call number rings and the thread is forwarded.

Illustrative walkthrough
KeptSolid recovers missed calls, after-hours calls, and mid-job overflow for HVAC shops running 2 to 15 trucks on Jobber or Housecall Pro. It texts the caller back within seconds, collects the problem, address, and window by text, and hands you a job card for the board. Board write-back is running in a labeled Jobber sandbox pilot. Until it's switched on for your shop, the job comes to your phone as a text with the caller's name, address, problem, and preferred window filled in, ready for the board.
Monday, 10:40 AM
Two trucks out, one on a changeout, dispatcher on hold with the supply house
The third caller gets a text before she gives up on the ring.
3:05 PM, July
On a roof, package unit open, condenser fan motor in your hands
He texts back 'heat pump can't keep up, home after 5' and it's on the board.
11:20 PM, first 100-degree night
Phone buzzing on the nightstand, three no-cool calls in a row
Each one gets a text. The one with the newborn rings your on-call phone.
Summer is when the phone wins or loses
In June the phone rings while every tech you have is on a roof or in an attic. The caller with a dead system is not going to leave a voicemail. She's going to call the next shop with a truck in the picture, and the first one who answers gets the job. That's the whole game from May to September.
The tech in the attic can't be the dispatcher
Your best tech is elbow-deep in a blower housing with the phone in the truck. Your dispatcher is on hold with the supply house about a compressor that was supposed to be in yesterday. Neither of them should be picking up. That's the call this catches: it texts the caller within seconds, from your shop's name, and asks what the system is doing and where the house is.
What lands on the card
The reply comes back as a job card: name, address, what it's doing (running but blowing warm, tripping the breaker, water at the air handler), and when someone's home. On Jobber that goes on the board. Anywhere else it's a text on your phone, one tap from the board. A no-cool call with a baby in the house rings your on-call phone too.

How it works
Catch the call. Text them back. Land it on the board.
01
Catch
A call rings out. You're on a roof, under a house, or the dispatcher is on the other line with the supply house.
02
Text back and collect
Within seconds the caller gets a text from your shop's name, in wording you approved. They text back what's wrong, the address, and when someone's home.
03
Land it on the board
The job shows up as a card: name, phone, address, problem, preferred window. It comes to your phone as a text, one tap from the board, and in the Jobber pilot it's written to the board with the service type you set.
Questions
Questions owners ask first
Can it tell a maintenance call from a no-cool emergency?
It reads the reply. 'Tune-up before summer' waits on the board for your normal window. 'No cool, 92 inside, newborn' rings your on-call number and forwards the thread. You set the words that count as an emergency, and you can change them in July.
We run two techs and an office phone. Is that too small?
No. KeptSolid is built for 2 to 15 truck shops on Jobber or Housecall Pro. Two trucks and an office phone is exactly the shop where one missed no-cool call is a real number.
Does it quote prices to callers?
No. It never quotes, never books a price, and never promises a time. It collects the problem, the address, and the window, and confirms the job is on the board. Pricing stays with you.
What about our maintenance-plan customers who expect priority?
Their texts land on the board like any other, and your dispatcher moves them up the way they do today. If you want plan members flagged, we set that up on the call review.
